"You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: what is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know." --Rene Daumal

Today was undoubtedly one of the shittiest days I have had in a long time. It's ok though, I will wallow in my dreams and then wake up and delete this!
But thanks; I owe you one.

Been a Long Day, How to Succeed in Business Without ETC.! |
] |
Lalalallaaaaaaa life is wonderful.
- My self-esteem was shot to shit on Monday; I extremely dislike crying in front of other people, and
- I've spent approximately 13 hours per day at school this week, and
- Fullerton is tomorrow/Saturday and my scene is whack as hell-- it's fondly known as the breasts scene, and involves an interpretive death dance, and
- My feet are going to fall off from intense high-heeled "I want to be in America/Ok by me in America" loving and
- I had an interesting time getting Commission Election business together, but it's up and running, and
- Bank St. is ridiculous, and
- I am utterly exhausted of and by many, many, many things, BUT
- THANK THE EVER LOVIN' MOON AND STARS, I GOT INTO COLLEGE YAYYY!
I am so extremely relieved, I just don't even think I can adequately communicate it. Thus, life is kind of wonderful.
Tomorrow might be nervewracking, but I have some wise words to guide me.
Congratulations to everyone thus far, you all rock my bright pink socks (and my legwarmers too).

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA.
Silly me, I thought nothing could be worse than college applications.
Well, per usual, I was wrong. Very, very, deathly wrong.
YAY FOR (expletive) FINANCIAL AID.
On a much lighter note or two, congratulations to Amanda Sandoval for getting into USC-- bug her about it because she's so wonderful and told, errr, no one. And PHIL-up-my-glass for the Windy City and SAIC! All that shit about it really happening is really happening.

NINE DRAGONS! is closing this weekend. 7 PM on Friday, 2 PM and 7 PM on Saturday.
I know you're in the mood for some more excellent entertainment after Hamlet night. I swear there's no incestuous snogging or bodies littering the stage in this one! (That alone is incentive.) If an additional reason is needed, check it:
Auteur52: oh man i'm so excited for the play tomorrow!
Yup, that's Tristan.

Sonnets on Love XIII
"Give me a place to stand," Archimedes said,
"and I can move the world." Paradoxical, clever, his remark which first explained the use of the lever was an academic joke. But if that dead
sage could return to life, he would find a clear demonstration of his idea, which is not pure theory after all. That putative spot exists in the love I feel for you, my dear.
What could be more immovable or stronger? What becomes more and more secure, the longer it is battered by inconstancy and the stress
we find in our lives? Here is that fine fixed point from which to move a world that is out of joint, as he could have done, had he known a love like this.
(by Jean de Sponde)
It's been a good year.

Many thanks!
P.S. Happy Columbus Day, or I as I think Mr. Adanto from 8th grade used to say, Happy Vespucci Day?

"In a frivolous and violent world, why do you think theater and movies should exist?"
Input? You could replace with your applicable art/passion! i.e. Deborah Kwon, why should your beautiful voice exist? Clara Kim's beautiful art, Emma Huang's/Phil Davis's beautiful photography, Leslie Schultz's beautiful dancing, Jason Lee's beautiful ASS, jk, music, etc.
Well geez! Whoever knew it was such a beautiful world? [cheesy I know]
